Meet Dr. Lynch
Dr. Jonathan Lynch, a board certified orthopedic surgeon, joined Ortho NorthEast (“ONE”) as a member of the JointONE team specializing in adult joint replacement surgery.
Dr. Lynch was born and raised in Fort Wayne, where he played football at Bishop Dwenger High School. His interest in orthopedic surgery began after undergoing ACL reconstructive surgery his sophomore year of football. He attended Indiana University Bloomington, for his undergraduate degree where he majored in biology and chemistry. He then attended Indiana University School of Medicine followed by residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. From there he moved to Nashville for his fellowship in adult joint reconstructive surgery at Vanderbilt.
“I love orthopedics because we can help patients in a meaningful and special way to get back to an improved quality-of-life.” Dr. Lynch enjoys the challenge and nature of reconstructing an arthritic and damaged joint to make it a more fluid, mobile, and pain-free joint. The most rewarding aspect of adult reconstructive surgery to him is seeing patients have significantly less pain and improved mobility to enjoy their daily activities once he has treated them.
Dr. Lynch met his wife Lauren (a nurse from Auburn, Indiana), during his last year at medical school in Indianapolis. In their spare time, they love spending time with family, traveling, hiking, and playing golf.
